The trip that was....
Last week i.e. Mar9-15,I was enjoying a college trip to Nainital and Jim Corbett Reserve.I was quite apprehensive at first but I am glad that i was wrong. The trip was a 'riot'.Everyday was better than the last.It was the best trip I have been to.There are so many memories to share. Day1 : After a tumultuous journey, dusty towns, hot weather and the bumpy roads,we finally made it to Nainital in the afternoon. The resort was a delight.Barely had we checked in that everybody headed to the pool, even novices like me couldn't resist a dip. After frolicking in ice cold water for a while,it was a sumptuous lunch. In the evening,it was time to head out to visit the town. The town was brimming with quaint activity. We immersed ourselves in games of Air-Hockey at the local games arcade. After a thoroughly enjoyable session there,we headed back to the resort.Back at the resort,my room was turned into a pub-everybody stopped by for a peg or two. After helping ourselves to a couple of bottles , we headed to the disc.Within a few minutes of our arrival,we had managed to clear out the area for our own dispensation.I managed a little 'striptease' of my own. After working out myself sweaty 'undie',I rested for a while and woke up at 0100 hrs to catch the Champion's League match. It was then that I also got to see the mayhem my friend's caused during my two hour siesta.Slept at 0400 hrs, only to wake up a couple of hours later.... Day 2 : I was wide awake at 0630 in the morning, relieved myself of a shit-load the first thing in the morning. It was Holi.Everybody woke up a couple of hours later and we headed to the resort's gardens.Once there, all hell broke loose. We got our hands on some gulaal and proceeded to make everybody look like a crayon box.If this wasn't enough, the resort provided us with more colors ,wet and dry.A few minutes later, buckets were flying all around, people were being 'air lifted' and 'para-dropped;' into muck.Nobody was spared and some were treated with special care - Sunnel and Dod.The colour-riot was followed by a game of 'tug of war' between us and the rest.We lost the first round but managed to win the series thanks to two back to back wins. The afternoon was spent scanning the resort's scenic beauty in our colourful spleandour. After another hearty lunch,we made our way to the table tennis table.Soon enough, testosterone took over and we managed to play till 2 in the night ,stopping for a trip to a lake and dancing in the disc.the night was made even livelier by Grewal's antics-he switched off the electricity upstairs and proceeded to make life hell for the IT people throughout the night..... to be continued......
