The week that was....2
Day 3 :Next morning,we checked out of the resort and made our way to the Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve. We arrived there in the afternoon. Our resort was situated right at the edge of the forest.I was assigned a cottage. The place was quite spectacular.I spent the afternoon playing football and table tennis. In the evening,we made way to stream nearby. It was a pleasant place.Everybody jumped in for a swim.I was busy soaking in the beauty, allegedly. After the bathing,we made our way to the resort. While everybody else went by the tracks, five of us found ourselves in the thick forest, all very deliberately. After enacting our very own 'Men vs Wild',we finally emerged back at the hotel .The evening was spent outdoors with drinks followed by a little karaoke session .The night was made even more fun by the shananigans of a drunk ....Day 4 : After hardly a couple of hours of sleep,we were woken up for the early morning safari through the Tiger reserve. After a cold shower,I managed to get myself on a jeep.My companions were all unknown to me,except one(again allegedly). We were driven to the reserve at a brisk pace.Once inside,I found myself another jeep, one with some known faces. We were driven by two wonderful staffers-a guide and a driver deep inside the reserve. We managed to 'catch' a tiger and gleefully observed it for half an hour .The mission accomplished,we made our way out the reserve.Once out,the we were driven at breakneck speed to the resort. The feeling of flying down the empty road surrounded by pines on both sides in an open jeep is unfathomable. This was to be the last day of the trip. After another trip to the stream,we made our way back home.......It was the most wonderful week, every bit of it.
